Former Batman, Christian Bale, reacts to the new Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie, with arguably the best interpretation of the Clown Prince of Crime having been played by Heath Ledger in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight movie.
“Joaquin is one of the best actors around. You know,” Bale said. “Obviously, I worked with Heath. It’s a brave thing to follow up that performance. [Joaquin Phoenix] always makes really interesting choices. Dying to see it. Wish them the best with that.”
Christian Bale is also asked if Robert Pattinson has reached out to him.
“He hasn’t no. I think he’s a fantastic choice. He’s interesting,” Bale said.

Robert Pattinson spoke with Christopher Nolan about Batman
While Robert Pattinson hasn’t gone to Christian Bale for advice, Pattinson was actually filming with Christopher Nolan on Tenet when Pattinson first heard the news he had been cast as Batman.
“I was like, ‘What a coincidence this is happening. It’s absolutely crazy,'” Pattinson said about being on set with Nolan and finding out about The Batman. “I was talking about things to do with the Batsuit. How to get more movements in it.”
