Thor and Valkyrie are reuniting!
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will star in the Men in Black spin-off for Sony Pictures.
Hemsworth is said to be finalizing talks for the role, with Thompson already signed on.
The duo recently starred in Thor: Ragnarok for Marvel Studios, which grossed over $853 million for Disney.
F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) is directing the Men In Black spinoff from a script by Iron Man’s Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.
No specific plot details are known, but it’s said the new Men In Black movie will be set in the same universe as the original movies, but won’t feature Will Smith (Agent Jay) and Tommy Lee Jones (Agent Kay).
It’s further been said the reboot will feature new characters and will build upon the contemporary sci-fi world in which Agent K and Agent J operated, but will be more global in scope.
The Men In Black spinoff has a June 14, 2019 release date with Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald back as producers, while Steven Spielberg is returning as executive producer.
