A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor is making the rounds via YouTuber Doomcock, who claims Marvel still doesn’t have a fully finished script for the movie.
According to Doomcock, this goes back to information he says he received in May 2025 from Hollywood agent sources.
He claimed at the time there was “no script whatsoever” on set and that one of the Russo brothers was instead carrying around a notebook filled with story notes rather than a completed screenplay.
Doomcock points to daily rewrites
Doomcock brought the rumor back up after citing a social media post from Earth 616 claiming Avengers: Doomsday is being rewritten every single day on set.
That claim says Kevin Feige supposedly revealed there is daily “plus-ing” happening during filming, with actors and filmmakers continuing to reshape scenes as production moves forward.
Doomcock argues that might have worked for Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, but says Doomsday is in a much different position, with Marvel needing the movie to deliver in a big way.
Why fans are talking about it
The rumor is getting attention because it lines up with the idea that Marvel is still adjusting the film deep into production.
There has already been talk of reshoots and additional photography tied to Avengers: Doomsday, which only adds more fuel to the speculation.
Still, Doomcock’s claims remain unverified, and Marvel has not confirmed anything about the movie lacking a locked script.
For now, it’s just another rumor surrounding what is easily one of Marvel’s biggest and most important upcoming movies.
Avengers: Doomsday release date
Avengers: Doomsday is currently set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
