Marvel Studios may have another hit on their hands with Thor: Ragnarok as the Taika Waititi-directed film is currently outpacing James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange at the international box office.

Thor: Ragnarok currently has a $109.1 million international box office gross, which is ahead of estimates, and puts the third Thor movie 6% ahead of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 and 24% above Doctor Strange in the same markets.

The movie opens this week in U.S. theaters, with estimates ranging from $90-100 million.

Thor: Ragnarok also has the highest Rotten Tomatoes score of any Marvel movie as it comes in at a whopping 96% “Fresh,” with 114 reviews being positive to only 5 “Rotten.”

The Thor: Ragnarok box office is also 34% above Thor: The Dark World.
