Netflix has officially canceled Fubar, the Arnold Schwarzenegger-led spy comedy, after two seasons. The move comes less than two months after Fubar season 2 debuted on June 12.
While Fubar had a strong premiere in 2023—powered by Schwarzenegger’s name recognition and debuting at #1 with over 1.5 billion viewing minutes—season 2 saw a sharp decline.
According to the trades, viewing minutes dropped by a whopping 73% between season one and two, landing only 412 million minutes during its premiere week this year, compared to 1.53 billion for the first.

Season 2 Struggled to Find an Audience
Despite Netflix’s track record of renewing most of its shows in 2025, including Virgin River and Tires, Fubar struggled to make a dent. Season 2 barely cracked Netflix’s English-language Top 10 upon launch, ranking #10 with 2.2 million views, and peaked at #7 the following week with 3.3 million views before quickly falling out of the rankings.
This underwhelming performance placed Fubar in the company of other 2025 Netflix cancellations like The Recruit, Pulse, and The Residence.

About the Series
Fubar starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Luke Brunner, a CIA operative forced out of near-retirement after discovering his daughter (Monica Barbaro) is also a spy. Season 2 introduced Carrie-Anne Moss as Greta Nelso, a former East German agent and past flame of Brunner.
The ensemble cast included Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris, and Scott Thompson.
Nick Santora served as showrunner and executive producer alongside Schwarzenegger. Additional EPs included Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Phil Abraham, Amy Pocha, Seth Cohen, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
