Will the Justice League movie be 3 hours long?!
More than likely Justice League will definitely be somewhere near the 3-hour mark, and now noted DCEU fanboy and writer for Forbes, Mark Hughes, tweets out a possible confirmation!
Hughes got involved in a Twitter war of sorts over the recent article about the Justice League reshoots causing headaches. Apparently around 20 minutes of the film is getting reshot by Joss Whedon, with fans claiming it’s “extensive.”
Hughes tweeted out to fans telling them to basically chill as reshoots aren’t unexpected, and he offered up 20 minutes out of a near 3-hour movie isn’t all that much.
Except no, 20 minutes of mostly new footage in a nearly 3 hr film is different from the implication they’re reshooting most of a film.

I have to concur as it’s been said a lot of Zack Snyder’s Justice League footage was good, but that Whedon came on to make it mesh a bit better with dialogue. It’s not like Whedon is refilming the whole thing.
Regarding Justice League being 3 hours long, I certainly hope so!
Update: Hughes has sent out another tweet suggesting the Justice League movie could be 2 hrs 20 minutes to 2 hrs 35 minues, “but depends on the new filming.”
If you recall, the theatrical release of Batman vs. Superman was around 2-and-a-half hours, with WB not letting Zack Snyder go with his 3-hour cut. However, once Batman vs. Superman was released, and there was a bit of fan uproar, WB ended up releasing the 3-hour extended Batman vs. Superman Ultimate Edition cut, which was much better!
The 2-plus-hour theatrical cut of Batman vs Superman even cut out the Steppenwolf scene – the Justice League movie villain(!) – which WB released almost immediately following the film’s release with “Communion” (watch below)!
Hopefully WB brass has learned from their mistake with Batman Vs. Superman and is releasing a longer possible 3-hour theatrical cut of Justice League! Marvel’s The Avengers: Infinity War looks to be near 3 hours as well!
