Fast Six: Opens Memorial Day 2013

Fast Six: Opens Memorial Day 2013

picVin Diesel informs us on his facebook that the sequel to the blockbuster hit “Fast Five” will premiere Memorial Day weekend 2013. I believe the tentative title is “Fast Six.”

Update: Universal has announced the date to be May 24, 2013, and are bringing back Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson, with Justin Lin back on board to direct (source: Variety).

“For all of you that supported Fast Five, in a way no one could have predicted… seeing it multiple times to record breaking box office…

To you, who stayed through credits, and from the moment you left the theater wanted to know, when Six was coming out… I have a date.

Memorial Day 2013!!!

You, officially, are the first to know.

P.s. This miraculously gives us more preproduction time than we had on Fast Five… I am happy and excited.

The Saga continues.”

“Fast Five” has taken the world by storm, exceeding expectations, and reaching #3 in total sales for 2011 with over $200 million.
