Star Wars: Episode IX Casts Dominic Monaghan

Star Wars: Episode IX will reunite Lost star Dominic Monaghan with J.J. Abrams as the actor has been cast in a role.

Dominic Monaghan, who also starred in the Lord of the Rings franchise, earlier today teased his involement on social media.

“More powerful than you can possibly imagine,” the actor posted on Instagram,which is a reference to the classic line from A New Hope of Obi-Wan telling Darth Vader, “If you strike me down…”

Dominic Monaghan also confirmed the casting to Deadline, “The galaxy far far away has had almost as much influence as the one I live in, so I am delighted to be involved.”

Any guesses who he could be playing?

Recent news for the film includes the first batch of set images have leaked online out of the UK showing off the Millennium Falcon.

Star Wars: Episode IX has a December 2019 release starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd. Joining the cast of Episode IX are Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant, who will be joined by veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian, with Carrie Fisher returning using unused footage from the previous movies.
