Star Wars actor Mark Hamill deleted a Bluesky post targeting President Donald Trump after the White House blasted him as “one sick individual.”
Hamill first posted an AI-generated image showing Trump lying in a grave with a headstone reading “Donald J. Trump 1946–2024.” The image also included the words “If Only.”
Hamill added that Trump “should live long enough” to lose in the midterms, face accountability, be impeached, convicted, and “humiliated” for what he called Trump’s “countless crimes.”

Mark Hamill Posts Trump Grave Image On Bluesky
The post quickly drew backlash due to the image showing Trump dead in a grave.
Hamill wrote: “He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore.”
The post also included the hashtag “#don_TheCON.”
Hamill has long been an outspoken critic of Trump, but this one crossed a line for the White House, especially with the image attached.
White House Fires Back At Mark Hamill
The administration responded through its Rapid Response 47 account on X.
“Mark Hamill is one sick individual,” the account posted.
The White House account also connected the post to political violence aimed at Trump.
“These Radical Left lunatics just can’t help themselves. This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President.”
Hamill Deletes Post And Issues Clarification
By Thursday, Hamill had deleted the original post and replaced it with another image of Trump, this time showing him with windswept hair.
Hamill then claimed his point was that Trump should live long enough to face accountability, not that he wanted Trump dead.
“Accurate Edit for Clarity: ‘He should live long enough to…be held accountable for his…crimes.’ Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate,” Hamill wrote.
That clarification did not stop the backlash, as critics argued the original image was clear enough on its own.

Star Wars Actor Faces Backlash
Hamill is best known for playing Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, but in recent years he has become just as known online for political posts attacking Trump and Republicans.
The controversy also comes after Hamill recently appeared with former President Barack Obama in a Star Wars Day video tied to the Obama Presidential Center, which added more fuel to the reaction from Trump supporters.
The White House response makes clear the administration is not treating the post as harmless celebrity commentary.
Hamill apologized for the image, but the damage was already done. The original post showed Trump in a grave, and the White House used it as another example of what it says is dangerous rhetoric coming from the Left.
