While doing the press rounds as of late for Sicario, Josh Brolin has been also talking Thanos. Brolin previously made mention that we’ll see Thanos soon and also that he didn’t hesitate when deciding to do the role (as well as talking Batman).
Now Brolin talks about how the Mad Titan will be taking on the Avengers and also recalls the first time he realized just how big his involvement with the Mad Titan is when he met a fan at a comic store.
Above you can check out the video. Here’s the blurb:
It’s the type of character where it’s him against all of the Avengers, which is fantastic in itself, but doing it’s a very different type of acting. So I was a little nervous in the beginning, and it wasn’t until I was doing [Sicario], I walked into a Albuquerque comic book store, and I saw a guy who recognized me as Thanos, who basically like had a minor stroke, and I was afraid because his reaction was so severe — more severe than I’ve ever seen any reaction of any actor or somebody recognizable — and I realized Thanos was his life. Thanos was his savior. The whole thing was his — it’s like he woke up in the morning and swallowed and ate these words in these comic books. So it means a lot. So I get the responsibility, and I take it with great care.
Josh Brolin has “Everst” coming out September 25, with “Sicario” hitting October 2nd.
