Rumors have been flying as of late that Elizabeth Olsen will be back in the MCU, with it now said Scarlet Witch will be featured in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars in a big way.
Update: The rumor is false. Elizabeth Olsen confirmed no Scarlet Witch.
According to the latest rumor via MyTimeToShineH on X, the plan is to bring back Olsen in Avengers: Doomsday which is set to feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU as none other than Doctor Doom. It’s further said Wanda will also be featured in Avengers: Secret Wars.
“Wanda will have a major role to play in the Avengers films,” claims the rumor.
A Marvel fan account adds, “Avengers: Doomsday will feature Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff. She will have a major role.”

Elizabeth Olsen open to MCU return
Elizabeth Olsen did just say she would be open to returning to the MCU, but only if it’s done right. The actress actually said she wants the smartest writers to bring Wanda back the right way to explain how it can be done following the events of Doctor Strange 2.
“I would bet to leave a window open. I had so much fun doing these movies. I would like to figure out how to cleverly be undead,” she recently told Jimmy Kimmel. “We need to find the smartest writers to figure out how to make this all make sense. I’m open to ideas. I would like to [be alive].”
Avengers: Doomsday has a May 1, 2026 release date; Avengers: Secret Wars gets released May 7, 2027. The Russos are returning to direct.
