Marvel Announces 2028 Release Dates: X-Men?

Marvel has announced release dates for three 2028 movies, which could be the start of the X-Men in the MCU.

The news comes with it learned that Disney has dropped Blade from the release schedule. Instead, the new Predator: Badlands movie will take that November 7, 2025 release date.

What are Marvel’s 2028 release dates?

The release dates for the three untitled Marvel movies in 2028 are:

  • February 18, 2028
  • May 5, 2028
  • November, 10, 2028

What are the movies?

We don’t know the movies, but that May release is typically a big MCU movie. Worth a mention is that 2028 is a year after Avengers: Secret Wars hits on May 7, 2027.

It’s known that Kevin Feige wants to create the X-Men side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Various rumors offer Hugh Jackman will continue to suit up as Wolverine until Secret Wars.

Since Secret Wars is going to be a big multiverse Marvel movie, it’s assumed the film will bring the X-Men to the forefront of the MCU. We can guess following Secret Wars is when a new Wolverine will be introduced to the MCU.

Additional rumors offer the X-Men movie will actually be without Wolverine. Fans of the comics know Wolverine didn’t join the team until years later. It’s also probably safe to assume that the MCU might have solo Wolverine movies to go along with X-Men. Wolverine is arguably bigger than the X-Men, so having both would make $ense.

What is the MCU release schedule?

  • Captain America: Brave New World – February 14, 2025
  • Thunderbolts – May 2, 2025
  • The Fantastic Four: First Steps – July 25, 2025
  • Avengers: Doomsday – May 1, 2026
  • Avengers: Secret Wars – May 7, 2027
