Ghost Rider Netflix Series Possible Says Gabriel Luna

One success (what looks to be) shepherded by Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD happens to be the new car Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, played by Gabriel Luna.

The Ghost Rider debuted this season on Agents of SHIELD and has been favorably received by fans and even yours truly. However, since Ghost Rider is appearing on network television, it’s guessed that may not be best suited for Ghost Rider due to ABC’s limited special effects budget as well as TV ratings.

A far better option for Ghost Rider would be Netflix, home of Marvel TV’s darker, grittier and more mature series, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders.

Regarding the Agents of SHIELD version of Ghost Rider appearing in a Marvel movie, that isn’t happening any time soon due to Marvel TV and Marvel Studios being different companies at Disney and not getting along.

Gabriel Luna recently talked about the possibility and did offer more Ghost Rider has been talked about.

“I don’t have a preference. People talk about ‘Ah man he’d be great as a feature,’ which is [an] idea too… It could be in the cinema, it could live on Netflix, whatever it is,” Luna told Comic Book. “It’s been talked about, there’s definitely deals in place for that potential. But I just take it one day at a time. I have so much fun now I just want to make sure I get these episodes right. If they throw more episodes on my plate, I will do my best to do well with those stories as well.”

Agents of SHIELD also recently aired its version of their Ghost Rider origin story, which happened to feature another Ghost Rider, confirmed to be Johnny Blaze. New episodes of Agents of SHIELD and Ghost Rider return September 29th.
