Netflix has released the first look at Enola Holmes 3, and it confirms Henry Cavill is back as Sherlock Holmes alongside Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola.
The new images tease a bigger story, with romance and danger colliding as the franchise moves into its next chapter.

Henry Cavill Returns As Sherlock Holmes
The first-look photos include Cavill’s Sherlock in Victorian-era London, again crossing paths with Enola.
While Sherlock has often played a supporting role, the images suggest he’ll still be involved as Enola takes on another complicated case.
Cavill returns alongside familiar faces including Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria, Himesh Patel as Watson, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.
Enola And Tewkesbury’s Relationship Evolves
A major focus this time is Enola’s relationship with Lord Tewkesbury, played by Louis Partridge.
The photos show the pair reunited, including scenes set on a beach that hint at a more mature and emotional dynamic.
Millie Bobby Brown told Netflix that Enola is now more defined but still figuring out what comes next. The story leans into themes of independence, identity, and balancing ambition with love.
“Enola is stepping into a version of herself that “feels much more defined but still evolving,” Brown said. “She’s built something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next. I think that’s something so many people can relate to. There’s this pressure of, ‘Ok, I’ve achieved this…but who am I now?’”
New Setting Brings Bigger Stakes
The third film takes Enola out of London and into Malta. According to the official logline, she faces a case that is more tangled and dangerous than anything before.
The images back that up, showing everything from quiet character moments to intense scenes involving fire and chaos. It looks like the scale has been pushed up while keeping the character-driven core.
Creative Team And Release Date
Enola Holmes 3 is written by Jack Thorne and directed by Philip Barantini. The film marks a reunion between the two, and Barantini has said he wanted to make something that keeps the spirit of the earlier films while expanding the story.
The movie hits Netflix on July 1.
