Amy Adams Reacts To James Gunn’s Superman, Rachel Brosnahan

Amy Adams, Zack Snyder’s choice to play Lois Lane in the DCEU, reacts to James Gunn’s new Superman movie featuring Rachel Brosnahan in the role.

She says she’s happy for Brosnahan and is excited to see her take on Lois.

“I love her. She’s gonna be great. Hopefully the role will be infused with her sensibility and her natural humor and strength and wit,” Adams told Variety. “I’m really looking forward to it. I really like her.”

Adams starred as Lois Lane starting from Man of Steel which was released back in 2013; however, Adams says she knew she wouldn’t play the role forever.

“I always understood they were moving in a more Justice League direction,” she said. “Coming from theater, a role never belongs to you. You just do a take on it. That’s how I feel about that franchise.”

James Gunn is rebooting DC including having a new take on Superman played by David Corenswet who replaces Snyder’s Henry Cavill. Adams still has good thing to say about Henry’s version.

“Henry was a really brilliant Superman. I offer every Superman luck and stuff, but I think he was great. I just wanted to say that. It’s so in his spirit,” Adams said.

Amy Adams is currently starring in the dark comedy horror movie, Nightbitch, about a woman who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom, but soon her domesticity takes a surreal turn. The film gets released Dec. 6.
