We get a first look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie from Amazon Studios. Theyâre shown with Hafthor Bjornsson (The Mountain in Game of Thrones) who is playing Goat Man.
The image comes thanks to a behind-the-scenes pic of the two actors prepping and training for their roles.
Per the last time we seen Nicholas Galitzine (more on that below), we see the 30-year-old actor has indeed bulked up and his hair is longer and blond, too. Just like He-Man.
Camila Mendes also is getting in shape and sports the reddish hair Teela is known for in the various animated shows and action figures.
Could there be hope for this movie!? Update: Set images, unfortunately, confirm the rumors.

The image above is the last time we seen Nicholas Galitzine, via his social media. He talked about training for the role and how different their Masters of the Universe movie will be:
âNo pressure, I just have to embody the strongest man in the universe. Thereâs been a lot of eating and weightlifting, a lot of stunts. Iâm eating about 4,000 calories a day, but the amount of physical work Iâm doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising. This is the fun part.â
âI will eventually go into whatâs called the cutting phase, where Iâm going to be starved and so rude to everyone. I can only apologize for the person Iâm going to become in a few monthsâ time.â

30-year-old Camila Mendes also has been posting images of herself sporting her new hair for Teela.

Earlier today saw the news that Morena Baccarin is playing Sorceress, and JĂłhannes Haukur JĂłhannesson is playing Fisto.

Plot info
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but previous descriptions from the trades offered something similar to:
10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Swordâthe only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!

Masters of the Universe has a June 5, 2026 release date directed by Travis Knight. The script is from Chris Buttler with first draft by David Callaham, and Aaron and Adam Nee.
