Alongside the release of the first Avengers: Doomsday poster, Marvel Studios has now officially unveiled the film’s first teaser, confirming the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.
The teaser debuted in theaters and marks the first on-screen footage tied directly to Avengers: Doomsday, signaling the start of Marvel’s serialized rollout ahead of the full trailer.
“The character that changed our lives. The story that brought us all here together. It was always going to come back to this,” said the Russo Brothers.

Steve Rogers Teaser Set During Endgame Events
The scene is believed to take place during the events of Avengers: Endgame, when Steve Rogers travels through time to return the Infinity Stones.
The teaser reportedly shows Rogers living out the life he chose at the end of Endgame, having stayed in the past rather than returning to the present-day MCU timeline.

Steve Rogers And Peggy Carter
In a moment that immediately sparked fan discussion, the teaser shows Steve Rogers holding a baby, believed to be his child with Peggy Carter.
The implication is that Rogers not only married Peggy after returning the stones, but also started a family during his time in the past — something Marvel has never shown on screen until now.
The teaser ends with a simple crawl that reads: “Steve Rogers will return.”
Worth a mention is that Marvel has also confirmed Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters prior to the release of Doomsday.

Thor Teaser Coming Next
Marvel’s teaser rollout appears to be following a weekly character-focused pattern.
This week, the second Avengers: Doomsday teaser is said to be attached to Avatar: Fire and Ash, focusing on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. That preview is expected to continue setting the stage before additional teasers spotlight Loki, Doctor Doom, and eventually lead into the full Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
