Hailee Steinfeld Reacts to Marvel 'Champions' Rumor, Talks Avengers, Spider-Verse & Josh Allen

When asked about the mysterious IMDb listing and Kate Bishop’s future in the MCU, Steinfeld didn’t confirm anything but didn’t exactly deny it either.

What did Hailee Steinfeld say about Champions?

“I saw that! You’re telling me anyone can just update IMDb now?” she joked to Variety. “Because part of me was like, ‘Is this someone random just throwing stuff out? Or someone who knows something?’”

While Steinfeld kept things vague, she made it clear she’s still on standby for Marvel.

“I’m always waiting by the phone. I love that family. I’m so grateful to be a part of it. Anytime they need me, they know where to find me,” she said.

Steinfeld recently seemingly confirmed Kate Bishop’s return in the next Avengers movie, following a video from the Sinners premiere in Mexico where she nodded “yes” when asked if she’s appearing in the film.

Regarding a Hawkeye season 2, it’s up in the air, but recently saw Jeremy Renner say he would return for a second season.

Steinfeld also gave an update on Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, where she returns as Gwen Stacy.

“We’re into it. I wonder sometimes if anything ever gets scrapped, because I’ve said the word ‘Miles’ in so many different ways and tones — they probably have a whole library,” she said.

She added that the recording process is ongoing and constantly evolving, saying, “You never get the full script at the top. It evolves. And that makes it so crazy and fun to be a part of.”

Life With Josh Allen

Steinfeld also talked about married life with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. She says it’s been an adjustment, but a rewarding one, and said “his nose is good” after Allen suffered a blow to the face during the Jets game.

“What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is,” she said.

Steinfeld continued, “This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.”

She added that being with Allen has helped her appreciate life outside of work:

“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
