DC is kicking off its road to 100 years at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with a full slate of events and activations spotlighting the 1935–1945 Golden Age era of comics.
A Look Back at the Beginning
At this year’s SDCC, DC marks the first step in a decade-long celebration leading up to its 100th anniversary. Starting with the 1935–1945 era, the publisher is honoring the decade that gave birth to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the comic book format itself. The DC booth (#4544) will showcase art and experiences from that first era of publishing.
Free 1940s-Style Daily Planet at DC Newsstand
Fans can pick up a free replica of a 1940s Daily Planet newspaper at the DC booth. The print includes original DC comic book ads, previews of upcoming titles, and the full DC panel and event schedule for Comic-Con 2025.
Golden Age Cosplay Event
Attendees are invited to wear their best Golden Age superhero attire and gather at the DC booth on Thursday, July 24, from 5:00–6:00 PM for a special cosplay celebration.
New Sizzle Reel Available
DC also released a new sizzle reel highlighting the 1935–1945 period and teasing what’s to come in future decade-themed celebrations.
