Marvel’s Thunderbolts – New Avengers – has passed $325 million at the box office and over $155M domestically.
The flick brought in $16,536,000 in its third weekend, only a 48.9% drop.
Thunderbolts also continues to perform better than Captain America: Brave New World in the dailies.
After the same 17 days, Cap 4 was at $163,547,486, so if Thunderbolts continues to perform how it has been (it didn’t open as high as Cap 4 but is having better legs), it could end up doing better. Cap 4’s third weekend came in at $14.85M.

Is Thunderbolts a success?
That said, the Thunderbolts break-even is said to be around $450 million, so it still needs another $125 million.
Cap 4 only brought in another $40M domestically following its first seventeen days.
Assuming Thunderbolts performs similarly or even a bit better, that doesn’t look to be enough to make Thunderbolts a box office success.
Cap 4 also brought in $214.6M from foreign markets. Thunderbolts is currently at $170.3M. Numbers below.
