Following the big announcement at Star Wars Celebration Japan with the reveal of Darth Jar Jar, Disney and Epic Games announced that the Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld animated series will first debut inside Fortnite ahead of its premiere on Disney+.
That’s not all, as fans and players will also be able to get an exclusive Stormtrooper skin.
The details include that the biggest Star Wars collaboration ever in Fortnite begins May 2. Epic Games and Disney announced a full Star Wars-themed Fortnite Battle Royale season, along with an exclusive in-game premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld — ahead of its Disney+ release on May 4.
Fortnite: Galactic Battle Launches
Starting May 2, Fortnite: Galactic Battle transforms the Battle Royale mode with Star Wars content every week. Players can suit up as Darth Jar Jar or Emperor Palpatine and pilot iconic ships like X-wings and TIE Fighters.
The season will conclude with a special live event called Death Star Sabotage.
Watch Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld in Fortnite
Also on May 2, the Star Wars Watch Party island goes live. Beginning at 10 a.m. ET, players can view the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld inside Fortnite before it hits Disney+. The episodes feature fan-favorite character Asajj Ventress.
To find the Watch Party, look for it on the main screen after logging in or use island code 2124-6713-8076.
The Watch Party island offers more than just a screening. Players can use lightsabers and blasters to fight off waves of Stormtroopers, rack up points, and climb the leaderboard. The island is available until May 11.
After watching both episodes, players will receive an Asajj Ventress Loading Screen within 72 hours.

How to Get the First Order Stormtrooper Outfit
Starting today, Fortnite players can unlock the new First Order Stormtrooper Outfit by connecting their Epic Games account with their MyDisney account.
Here’s how to connect accounts:
- Sign into your Epic Games account at epicgames.com/id/login.
- Go to Apps and Accounts on your account page.
- Click “Connect” on the MyDisney Account option and complete the linking process.
Players must connect by August 31 at 12 a.m. ET to claim the Outfit for free. It features both a Fortnite Style and a LEGO® Style. The Outfit may be sold in the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date.
Note: Connecting is only available in certain areas and accounts. Only one MyDisney account can be linked per Epic account.
Epic and Disney Preview the Future of Digital Entertainment
Disney and Epic say this collaboration marks the beginning of a new era for entertainment inside games. Sean Shoptaw, Disney’s EVP of Games & Digital Entertainment, said the partnership shows how fans will soon be able to play, watch, create, and connect across ecosystems.

Epic Games President Adam Sussman added that the Star Wars collaboration is a first look at how immersive storytelling will evolve inside Fortnite and beyond.
