Amazon Prime’s Invincible animated series has now dropped off the Nielsen ratings charts, despite five episodes from Season 3 having been released.
Nielsen measures all episodes available during a given week, which includes content from previous seasons as well.

What are the ratings?
Following Episode 4 of Season 3 making the charts with 475 million minutes, Episode 5 is absent, as Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse rounds out the list with 496 million minutes. With Invincible not appearing, it means the week Episode 5 was released fell below that number.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean viewership dropped—if the minutes stayed at 475 million, Invincible still wouldn’t have made the charts.

Season 3 feels like filler—Will final episodes boost the ratings?
That said, as I mentioned in my review, Invincible Season 3 has mostly felt like boring filler—aside from the last two episodes. Honestly, you could skip the entire season and just watch the final two without missing a beat (similar to what happened with Kirkman’s The Walking Dead).
It’ll be interesting to see the Nielsen ratings for the rest of the season. Will it make the charts? Will the final episodes see an uptick?
Invincible Season 4 concerns?
While Invincible didn’t make Nielsen’s ratings charts for the week, there doesn’t seem to be anything to worry about—Season 4 is happening.
My only concerns are a potential drop in animation quality, which we’ve seen this season (particularly with Episode 5), and the storytelling. For whatever reason, it seems the animators take an unusually long time to produce the action scenes—especially compared to older animated shows. That could explain why the action is limited to just a couple of episodes, while the rest is filled with drawn-out blather. Likewise, it would also explain the lackluster storytelling in both Seasons 2 and 3.
No new episode today, so how about an everything we know about Season 4 so far post? pic.twitter.com/0NLQBSoDYo
