The sequel to Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk is now filming as the first set images have hit the net.
The first film was released in 2021 starring Odenkirk as a suburban husband and dad, Hutch Mansell. When their house gets broken into, hoping to prevent serious violence, Hutch refuses to defend himself and his family, but this backfires as his teenage son becomes disappointed in him, and his wife, Becca, seems to pull only further away.
Nobody is similar to the John Wick films (they have the same writer, Derek Kolstad). So what happens is that it turns out Hutch has a certain set of skills as he’s a former government assassin. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that resurfaces dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists and gunfire, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.
What do the set images show?
Director Tim Tjahjanto, known for the V/H/S movies, shared a pair of images from the set on social media.
“Grateful is an understatement,” he posted.
The images show Tjahjanto in front of a super car, and with Odenkirk in an elevator fitting with the narrative of an ordinary man pushed to extraordinary limits with larger things at play.
