“This wasn’t supposed to happen,” says Lois in the teaser trailer. To quote an infamous actor who nearly played Lex Luthor, “You’re goddamn right.”
Judging what came out of Comic-Con about the Superman & Lois final season, it seems another one of my scoops has been confirmed.
Recall last year how DC insiders filled me in that the Superman & Lois final season was going to be a big mess, so much so the insiders thought the final season shouldn’t even be happening. I was told as a result of the budget being cut big-time that Superman would lose his powers in the final season and the show would become a drama.
Now the first trailers and details have been released. Well, look what happens? Superman does lose his powers — he dies!
Apparently what they are doing is not adapting the “Death of Superman” story, but what follows, the “Funeral For a Friend” story. Of course that means no Superman.
The DC insiders told me due to the budget cuts, they couldn’t afford to spend money on the VFX for Superman. So what better way to have Superman lose his powers than not to have Superman at all?! Wow.
Following my leak, it will be interesting to see what happens with Season 4. We know the season has been cut to 10 episodes, so there is a way to save on the budget. We also know most of the cast – from what I have been told – have been fired, which of course, saves money, too. Now Superman is apparently dead and won’t be around? Wonder for how many episodes?
