Summary
- Marvel has changed the title of the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha for the fifth time
- The DisneyPlus.com website has been updated with the new title
- The series stars Kathryn Hahn and continues her story from WandaVision
Off to a promising start, Marvel has apparently changed the title of the Agatha series for a fifth time, which is coming to Disney+ starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular character from WandaVision.
As we noted back in December, Marvel changed the title a fourth time as the show was originally announced as Agatha: House of Harkness, then it was changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, then to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and then the title was said to be Agatha: Agatha All Along, which references the catchy jingle she sang in WandaVision.
DisneyPlus.com updated with new title
However, now Disney+ has been updated, and it appears as if the official title is simply Agatha judging by the page listing for the series on the website.
The Google entry and the page’s source code also lists the series as titled “Agatha”:
What is Agatha about?
The series doesn’t have an official release date but it’s thought to be premiering sometime this year.
Kathryn Hahn is back as Agatha Harkness, and Aubrey Plaza plays Rio. The series also stars Joe Locke, Patti LuPone as Lilia, Sasheer Zamata as Jen K, and Ali Ahn as Alice, with Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili.
A previously leaked description for the first episode offers that we see Agatha Harkness finally breaking out of a spell she has been trapped in (since the end of WandaVision). She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways but she soon discovers she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.
