Zack Snyder Releases New Knightmare Batman Image

Our Zack Snyder DC vs Marvel Movie Rumor Just Went To Another Level

Zack Snyder has taken to the Vero social networking app to post a cool new look at Ben Affleck from the Batman Knightmare scene in Batman vs. Superman.

“On this date in 2014,” Snyder said.

Today also happens to be Ben Affleck’s birthday!

The Knightmare Batman scene was one of the more cool moments from Batman vs. Superman depicting a post-apocalyptic future where Darkseid invades Earth featuring an evil version of Superman. The vision also gave us our first look at the Parademons.

Interestingly enough, it’s been wondered just how much of the vision will come true as Darkseid’s lieutenant, Steppenwolf, invades Earth in Justice League seeking the Mother Boxes. Some fans are also speculating that Superman might be evil in Justice League, which would fulfill the “prophecy” of the Knightmare Batman scene.

However, one thing Batman didn’t have that he does in Justice League is help from Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg (and maybe even Green Lantern!)!

We can thank the Knightmare Batman scene for giving Bruce Wayne inspiration to form the Justice League!

Updated: with a second image of Knightmare Batman with Vero co-founder Ayman Hariri.

Justice League has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
