X-Files is returning once again!
It’s learned that FOX TV has ordered ten new episodes of X-Files!
Following the return of X-Files last year, the new X-Files episodes are described as an event series and a continuation of the 2016 run.
It’s reported the new X-Files series will debut for the 2017-18 season reuniting David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson with creator and showrunner Chris Carter.
The new X-Files is set to begin filming this Summer.
“Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide,” said David Madden, President, Fox Broadcasting Company, in a released statement. “Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files.”
X-Files premiered in 1993 and lasted nine seasons.
