A new international promo has been released for the Wonder Woman featuring footage along with Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.
âWonder Womanâ hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins (âMonster,â AMCâs âThe Killingâ). Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine (the âStar Trekâ films), Robin Wright (âThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,â Netflixâs âHouse of Cardsâ), Danny Huston (âClash of the Titans,â âX-Men Origins: Wolverineâ), David Thewlis (the âHarry Potterâ films, âThe Theory of Everythingâ), Connie Nielsen (Foxâs âThe Following,â âGladiatorâ), Elena Anaya (âThe Skin I Live Inâ), Ewen Bremner (âExodus: Gods and Kings,â âSnowpiercerâ), Lucy Davis (âShaun of the Dead,â FXâs âBetter Thingsâ), Lisa Loven Kongsli (upcoming âAshes in the Snowâ), Eugene Brave Rock (AMCâs âHell on Wheelsâ) and SaĂŻd Taghmaoui (âAmerican Hustleâ).
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powersâŠand her true destiny.
Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg and Jason Fuchs, based on characters from DC. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.
The film is produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Stephen Jones, Geoff Johns, Wesley Coller, Jon Berg and Rebecca Steel Roven serving as executive producers.
Joining Jenkins behind the camera are director of photography Matthew Jensen (âChronicle,â âFantastic Four,â HBOâs âGame of Thronesâ), Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (âAmĂ©lie,â âA Very Long Engagement,â âPanâ), Oscar-winning editor Martin Walsh (âChicago,â âJack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,â âV for Vendettaâ), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (âThe Dark Knightâ trilogy, âTopsy-Turvyâ). The music is by composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (âHacksaw Ridge,â âThe Legend of Tarzanâ).
