It’s learned that Patty Jenkins will be filming a huge scene for Wonder Woman 2, said to feature at least 2000 people.
The big scene will be filmed on the island of Fuerteventura, which is a part of the Canary Islands set south of Spain and west of Morocco.
Over 2000 extras are said to have been recruited for the scene, described as “mostly women of athletic build.”
The Wonder Woman 2 scene is said to be bringing more than $23 million to the local economy, surpassing that of recent movies shot there including Ridley Scott’s Exodus with 400 extras, Han Solo and Gerardo Olivares’ 4 latas.
Canarias7.es makes mention that Wonder Woman 2 will have access to Jandía Natural Park and its desert landscape.
It’s probable the scene for Wonder Woman 1984 will be some sort of flashback scene possibly set on Wonder Woman’s home of Themyscira involving the Amazons.
Wonder Woman 1984 has a November 1, 2019 release also starring Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as the supervillain Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal.
