Wonder Woman 2 Using IMAX Cameras

Wonder Woman 2 Using IMAX Cameras

It’s learned that Wonder Woman 2 will be using IMAX cameras to film certain scenes.

During a quarterly conference call from February, IMAX CEO Greg Foster revealed the news.

And lastly, I’m excited to announce that Wonder Woman 2, which comes out in the second half of 2019, will be shot with IMAX film cameras in select sequences. This Warner Brothers DC production, the sequel of the global juggernaut from 2017, is directed by Patti Jenkins and produced by Chuck Roven and Rebecca Oakley Roven. And we couldn’t be more excited that IMAX has been chosen to be a part of the film’s design.

The first Wonder Woman movie wasn’t filmed in IMAX and was digitally re-mastered.

The only DCEU movie to utilize IMAX cameras was actually Batman vs. Superman, so this is a great step up for Wonder Woman 2.

Wonder Woman 2 has a November 1, 2019 release directed by Patty Jenkins starring Gal Gadot as the titular character, Kristen Wiig as Cheetah, with Chris Pine rumored to return as Steve Trevor, and Pedro Pascal said to be in an unknown role.

The movie also looks to start filming in May.
