Woke Disney Pixar ‘Elemental’ Bombs At Box Office

Disney Pixar’s woke Elemental bombs big time at the box office and is the worst opening of all time for a Pixar movie, thus proving how damaged both the Disney and Pixar brands are.

Families chose to avoid Elemental, which features Pixar’s first non-binary character, as the movie only opened to $29 million. The flick joins last year’s woke Lightyear which also bombed as well as Disney’s secret gay Strange World animated movie.

Elemental is said to feature talks about racism and xenophobia and introduces a non-binary character who uses they/them pronouns.

The official description for the movie offers: Set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air-residents live together, Elemental introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Elemental bombing is in stark comparison to the recent Super Mario Bros. animated movie starring Chris Pratt which has made over $1.3 billion at the box office. So Super Mario Bros. proves there is a big audience out there for animated movies and movies done well.

Disney has since announced they are scrapping plans for more Lightyear-type animated movies and are going back to the original brand that made Pixar so popular as Bob Iger has announced Toy Story 5 with both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen who weren’t asked to do Lightyear. Additional animated films are also announced for Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2.
