Welcome Anya Chalotra to the DCU as James Gunn has confirmed that the actress who is known for The Witcher will be playing Circe in the Creature Commandos animated series.
On threads, a fan questioned, “Is it true that Anya Chalotra is playing Circe in Creature Commandos?”
Gunn replied, “Yes. And there are other cool characters in the show played by other cool actors. But all of the series regulars were announced.”
Following the news, fans are also speculating Anya Chalotra could play the live-action version in the DCU opposite Gunn’s new Wonder Woman who could also be around the same age of 30-years-old or so. Anya Chalotra could also be featured in the Paradise Lost TV series in development which is set in Themyscira, home of the Amazons and birthplace of Wonder Woman, focusing on the genesis and political intrigue of an island of all women.

Who stars in Creature Commandos?
The cast includes Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., the father of Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag, Jr.; David Harbour is playing Eric Frankenstein a version of the classic monster, and Indira Varma is the Bride, a version of Frankenstein’s love interest.
Gunn also previously announced Alan Tudyk is playing Dr. Phosphorous, a radioactive Batman villain; Maria Bakalova is Princess Ilana Rostovic, a new character for the show; Sean Gunn is playing both GI Robot, a military android, and Weasel from The Suicide Squad; Zoe Chao voices Nina Mazursky, an amphibious scientist, and Steve Agee is returning as John Economos from Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and the recent post-credit scene in Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
Gunn also said The Bride is the leader.
“The Bride is something special, she’s the lead character in a lot of ways, but I love them all,” he said on Threads.
What is Creature Commandos about?
The official description offers Creatures Commandos is a seven-episode animated show in which Amanda Waller creates a black ops team out of monstrous prisoners; Gunn wrote all the episodes of the first season.
It’s also known Viola Davis will be back as Amanda Waller, with it added the animated series ties into the upcoming Waller live-action series.
Gunn has also said the animated voice actors will be playing their live-action counterparts, so look for the above actors to be seen as their respective characters possibly in Waller and other DCU projects.
“Some of them yes are already a part of live-action plans,” confirmed Gunn in a tweet.
Another fan asked what makes them different from the Suicide Squad?
“They are monsters,” replied Gunn who also confirmed Ron Perlman isn’t a part of the show.
