Netflix has released The Witcher Season 3 trailer starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivea.
“Chaos is coming,” teases the video description. “The Witcher Season 3 begins on June 29th.”
What is The Witcher Season 3 about?
Destiny brought them together. Dangerous forces are trying to tear them apart. Geralt and Yennefer fight to keep Ciri safe as war brews on the Continent.
“Now, there is a real threat,” Cavill told Netflix’s Tudum about Season 3. “It’s genuine; it’s no longer theoretical — it’s practical. And it’s very, very dangerous. They are walking into the lion’s den everywhere they go.”
“In so many ways, Season 3 is the culmination of what we’ve been building toward all along,” showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said. “We get to see everything on the Continent change, which is super exciting.”
“War has been threatened for so long,” Joey Batey who plays Jaskier said. “Finally we’re like, ‘Oh, god. It’s here.’ The epicness, the stakes for the Continent, in the macro sense, is huge. But the micro stakes are even bigger.”
The Witcher Season 3 premiers Volume 1 on June 29, and then returns with Volume 2 on July 27.
