‘The Venture Bros.’ Canceled; May Return In Some Form

The Venture Bros. has been canceled after 7 seasons, but there could be hope the show continues on in some form.

Monday saw word the popular Adult Swim animated series had been canceled, with series creator Christopher McCulloch taking to Twitter under his pseudonymous handle Jackson Publick to confirm the news.

“Unfortunately, it’s true: Venture Bros. has been canceled,” tweeted McCulloch. “We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, We Love You.”

James Urbaniak, who provided the voice of Dr. Venture and may other characters for the show, also confirmed the cancellation.

“So, as it must to all, cancellation has come for The Venture Bros.,” tweeted Urbaniak. “The pilot aired 17 years ago, which means the show was almost old enough to vote. It was one of the great gifts of my life & career. The fans were, quite simply, the best. Thank you, everybody. Go. Team. Venture!”

Regarding the possibility The Venture Bros. may continue, following the news of the cancellation, Adult Swim hinted they are trying to find the show a new home.

“We also want more Venture Bros. and have been working with Jackson and Doc to find another way to continue the Venture Bros. story,” tweeted the network.

The Venture Bros. kicked off back in August 7, 2004 and aired for 81 episodes with the last episode airing on October 7, 2018.
