Yesterday saw Sony release a first look at Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in the upcoming Venom movie as well as a promo video from the Brazil Comic-Con.
I managed to get a high-res Tom Hardy image from Sony where taking a closer look at what Eddie Brock is holding reveals plot details for Venom.
The note seemingly reveals that Tom Hardy is playing Eddie Brock the reporter who appears to be investigating the Life Foundation.

So how exactly does the Life Foundation go about testing its pharmaceuticals?
In the Marvel comics, the Life Foundation is a group that created a fallout shelter to protect their wealthy clients in the case of a nuclear holocaust. What’s interesting is that they created five symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom to protect their planned future Utopian society: Agony, Phage, Riot, Lasher and Scream.
The Life Foundation members include Carlton Drake who extracted the five symbiote seeds from Venom, Mr. Gabriel, Mr. MacVay, Mr. Pullman, Ms. Caputo, Roland Treece, and making up the five symbiotes: Donna Diego (Scream), Ramon Hernandez (Lasher), Leslie Gesneria (Agony), Trevor Cole (Riot) and Carl Mach (Phage).
