Sony has announced the Venom 3 official title and with that comes a new release date.
Venom 3 is titled “Venom: The Last Dance,” which has moved up from a November 8, 2024 release to an October 25, 2024 release date.
What are the details for Venom: The Last Dance?
No plot details are known.
Kelly Marcel is the director who wrote the script with Tom Hardy. Producers include Marcel, Hardy, and Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
Also starring in Venom: The Last Dance includes June Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The first Venom was released on October 3, 2018, and brought in $856 million. The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which also starred Woody Harrelson and was released on September 30, 2021, brought in $506 million.
Continues from Spider-Man: No Way Home
Tom Hardy recently released a set image from the third movie teasing that Venom: The Last Dance continues from the Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credit scene.
The set pic shows Hardy as Eddie Brock wearing the same clothing he wore in both the Venom 2 post-credit scene and the Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credit scene.
So it appears as if the third movie will start right when Eddie returns courtesy of Doctor Strange’s spell which saw Eddie leave behind a little bit of the symbiote in the MCU, thought to possibly be setting up Tom Holland wearing the black suit in Avengers: Secret Wars (and possibly a new Venom in the MCU, if things go that far and assuming Hardy is done with the role after Venom: The Last Dance.)
