Tomb Raider Cast Revealed: Sophie Turner, Sigourney Weaver, and Jason Isaacs Lead Amazon Series

Amazon has officially revealed the full cast for its upcoming Tomb Raider live-action series, headlined by Sophie Turner as Lara Croft and joined by Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs in major roles.

Weaver and Isaacs Join the Adventure

Jason Isaacs will play Atlas DeMornay, a character rooted in the Tomb Raider canon, while Sigourney Weaver takes on the role of Evelyn Wallis, described as a “mysterious, high-flying woman” with her sights set on exploiting Lara’s talents.

They join Sophie Turner, who stars as Lara Croft in what’s being described as a globe-trotting action-adventure based on the popular video game franchise.

Expanded Cast and Fan-Favorite Characters

Other cast members include Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip and Bill Paterson as Winston—two names long associated with the franchise.

Jack Bannon (Gerry), John Heffernan (David), and Celia Imrie (Francine) also appear as characters from the Tomb Raider universe.

Additional roles will be played by Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, and August Wittgenstein.

Waller-Bridge on the Series

“Tomb Raider boasts a plethora of iconic characters,” said showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge. “I am thrilled to have been able to bring some personal and fan favourites to the screen while also introducing a few new rascals of our own to the mix. This cast is beyond my wildest dreams.”

Behind the Scenes

The series is created, written, and executive produced by Waller-Bridge, who also serves as co-showrunner alongside Chad Hodge. Jonathan Van Tulleken is directing and executive producing. The project is a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Legendary Television, Wells Street Films, and Story Kitchen.

Filming is slated to begin this month, with the series aiming to deliver a fresh, live-action spin on Lara Croft’s legacy, while Netflix’s animated Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft—starring Hayley Atwell—just wrapped its second and final season.

Two video games were also recently announced including Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst.
