Tom Hardy is excited to be filming Venom 3 as the actor has posted an image from the set teasing a return to production and possibly the rumored MCU Spider-Man 4 connection.
The Sony official Instagram account and Hardy’s account posted the following pic showing off the actor sporting a Hawaiian shirt, a t-shirt, and a can of Amstel Tostada beer along with Venom 3 director Kelly Marcel.
Hardy commented, “V3NM3.”
The photo shows Hardy in costume as Eddie Brock, and worth pointing out, it’s the same clothing he wore in the Venom 2 post-credit scene and the Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credit scene. Watch those below.
Big rumors offer Spider-Man connections
As we just went over, there is a new rumor that the Sony Spider-Verse is going to connect with the MCU and Spider-Man 4. Tom Hardy has also seemingly teased Spider-Man for Venom 3.
Now we see that Venom 3 also looks to be directly continuing from the Venom 2 post-credit scene and the Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credit scene.
It was originally thought the Let There Be Carnage post-credit scene was going make Tom Hardy and Venom be a part of the MCU, but then the Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credit scene seemed to nix that idea.
Now it appears as if Hardy’s Eddie Brock is a part of the Multiverse and may even appear in the upcoming MCU’s Avengers: Secret Wars, if the rumors are to be believed.
The untitled Venom 3 has a November 8, 2024 release date. No plot details are known. Juno Temple is also starring in the flick. Chiwetel Ejiofor who played Mordo in the MCU has also been cast in the role which seems to corroborate Hardy’s Venom is not in the MCU and a part of the Marvel Multiverse.
