The Furious Trailer Released: Joe Taslim, Xie Miao Lead Martial Arts Revenge Thriller

Lionsgate has released the trailer for The Furious, the new martial arts action thriller starring Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, and Yang Enyou. The movie heads to theaters on May 29 and is directed by acclaimed action filmmaker Kenji Tanigaki.

The film centers on Wang Wei, played by Xie Miao, whose daughter is kidnapped by a criminal network. After getting no help from corrupt police, Wei takes matters into his own hands and goes on a brutal mission to bring her back. Along the way, he teams with Navin, played by Joe Taslim, a relentless journalist whose own wife has also mysteriously vanished.

The trailer teases a hard-hitting revenge story packed with close-quarters combat, weapons fights, and the kind of intense choreography fans have come to expect from Taslim and Tanigaki. Yang Enyou also stars, with Brian Le, Joey Iwanaga, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Manatsanun Phanlerdwongsakul, Guo Junqing, and Winai Wiangyangkung in supporting roles. Yayan Ruhian and Jija Yanin make special appearances.

Tanigaki is well known among action fans for his stunt and fight work, and The Furious looks to lean fully into that style. Early coverage around the trailer is already comparing the movie’s brutal energy to modern action standouts, which could make this one worth watching for fans of straight-up martial arts mayhem.
