With Ben Affleck making the rounds with press about his latest movie, The Accountant, Affleck has also been talking up Batman.
The latest sees Ben Affleck talk about Deathstroke as the villain for The Batman, which will be played by Joe Manganiello.
“He’s a great villain because—I just had an instinctive feeling that he would match up with him well. You know, I’m a big admirer of that character as well, especially in the New 52 the way that they did Deathstroke, and I thought that it could work,” Affleck told Collider.
Ben Affleck recently debuted Deathstroke in a video (watch below), with it also speculated that Deathstroke will be in the upcoming Justice League movie as Zack Snyder recently released storyboards featuring Deathstroke.
Recent details regarding The Batman includes Ben Affleck having confirmed the title and mentioning they are still writing the script. The Batman movie has also bee said to be around 18 months out.
In addition to Ben Affleck, who is co-writing (with Geoff Johns) and directing The Batman, the film will also star J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
Justice League has a November 17, 2017 release; The Accountant hits October 14th.
