Warner Bros. has released updated posters for Christopher Nolan's Tenet movie featuring John David Washington that confirm the film's release to be only in theaters and not through streaming or VOD.
It was recently announced that Tenet has an August 26, 2020 release date and will open in over 70 countries worldwide including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, and the U.K.
The U.S. release will open the following weekend, on Labor Day weekend, in select cities.
A special extended look at Tenet will also be featured with the re-release of Christopher Nolan's Inception on Aug. 12 internationally and on Aug. 21 in the U.S., which is also said to feature new trailers for Wonder Woman 1984 and Dune.

Nolan wrote and directed the film, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. “Tenet” is produced by Emma Thomas and Nolan. Thomas Hayslip served as executive producer.
Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson, and special effects supervisor Scott Fisher. The score is composed by Ludwig Göransson.
“Tenet” was filmed on location across seven countries.
