Tatiana Maslany Denies She-Hulk Casting

Tatiana Maslany denies she is playing Marvel’s She-Hulk in the upcoming Disney Plus series.

Last month saw Deadline report that Tatiana Maslany has been tapped to play She-Hulk, but in a recent interview, the actress, who is known for Orphan Black, said it’s not true.

“That actually isn’t a real thing and it’s like a press release that’s gotten out of hand. It’s totally not — I’ve been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it’s not actually a thing, unfortunately,” Maslany told The Sunbury Star. “Yeah, I don’t know how these things get — I don’t know, I don’t know. You know better; I have no idea [laughs].”

While Deadline’s report did note that Marvel has yet to confirm the news, normally a site like Deadline gets their info spoonfed to them, so the news of Tatiana Maslany not playing She-Hulk is surprising.

Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo even welcomed Maslany into the MCU fold, but again, Ruffalo could just be going by Deadline’s article, though it is expected Ruffalo will appear in the She-Hulk series as in the comics, Bruce Banner gives his cousin, Jennifer Walters, a blood transfusion that is responsible for her becoming She-Hulk.

It could be possible that Tatiana Maslany has been cast as She-Hulk but she isn’t allowed to say anything or another possibility is that maybe the talks fell through.

She-Hulk does look to be getting underway soon as it has also been reported Kat Coiro is directing episodes.

Maybe with Netflix canceling GLOW, Alison Brie is now available and Marvel decided to go with her as She-Hulk?
