Jeffrey Dean Morgan Cast As Negan For The Walking Dead

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22885:]]

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast as Negan for AMC’s The Walking Dead.

George Romero’s Empire of the Dead Coming To AMC

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22857:]]

We have The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead and now a third zombie series is coming to AMC with George Romero’s Empire of the Dead, which is not related to the Robert Kirkman-created Walker universe.

The news comes from comic book artist Arthur Suydam who did the variant cover art for Romero’s Marvel comics series of the same name.

“The series I just finished up for Marvel Comics as a matter of fact, so this is me and George Romero, and this just got signed by AMC. So it’s going to be the next big zombie series on AMC,” Suydam told WHAS11 while attending the Wizard World Louisville Comic-Con.

Word first hit about the Empire of the Dead TV series back in May with mention the series will be written by Geroge Romero and longtime partner Peter Grunwald, and executive produced by Romero and Grunwald with Demarest’s Sam Englebardt and William D. Johnson.

Empire of the Dead is set in NYC and features vampires as well. Here is a description of the first issued published back in January 2014:

ZOMBIE GODFATHER GEORGE ROMERO UNLEASHES HIS NEXT UNDEAD EPIC—AS AN ALL-NEW MARVEL COMIC! Welcome to New York City years after the undead plague has erupted—but just because Manhattan has been quarantined, don’t think that everyone inside is safe! Not only do flesh-eaters roam within Manhattan, but there’s another ancient predator about to take a bite out of the Big Apple! Plus: It’s a terrorizing team-up in variant cover form when the Zombie Godfather unites with the Zombie King – Arthur Suydam!

Garret Dillahunt Speculated As Neegan For The Walking Dead

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22813:]]

It’s looking highly likely that Garret Dillahunt is playing Neegan in AMC’s The Walking Dead.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, the actor has been seemingly teasing the role on Twitter by stating he is reading the comic book source material and also teased the infamous baseball bat of the character.

It’s also been pointed out that showrunner Scott Gimple and members of The Walking Dead cast have begun following Dillahunt on Twitter, with Gimple only following a small amount of people leading to further evidence that Garret Dillahunt is Negan.

Dillahunt is known for roles on Deadwood, Justified, No Country For Old Men, 12 Years A Slave, Alphas, 4400 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Possible Walking Dead 6×06 Promo Trailer Leaks Online

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22742:]]

It appears as if AMC may have accidently posted the promo trailer for the November 15th episode of The Walking Dead on their YouTube Channel as the following preview is different than what was shown following tonight’s episode for next week’s episode titled “Now.”

It probably also tells us we are not going to find out what happens with Glenn and Rick until the cows come home, but that’s pretty much The Walking Dead for you.

Biggest Piece of Evidence That SPOILER Isn’t Dead In The Walking Dead

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22652:]]

Spoilers follow for last night’s The Walking Dead

Last night saw Glenn apparently killed off, which has caused the internet to erupt with outrage as well as suspicion that Steven Yeun isn’t done just yet.

While some of it as best circumstantial:

Glenn’s death wasn’t shown on screen, and the death scene left an “out” for Glenn to surive (watch here)

Steven Yeun didn’t appear on Talking Dead as every actor that gets killed off appears on the episode following their death

Talking Dead didn’t include Glenn’s death in their look back eulogy

Showrunner Scott Gimple teased the return of Glenn

There is a strong piece of evidence that indicates Glenn didn’t die, which comes from the The Walking Dead set located in Atlanta as Steven Yeun has been spotted filming many scenes that have yet to air following the death scene:

As we see, Glenn is spotted with “Jesus,” a character that has yet to surface this season. The Spoiling Dead Facebook page futher suggests Glenn is not dead as they state there have been lots of Steven Yeun sightings on set — more than likely not indicating a red-herring or flashback scene:

We have soooo many sightings of Glenn after episode 3 in multiple episodes. I just can’t see [The Powers That Be] getting Steven to continue to come out to filming sites and stay there for multiple hours just to throw off a small percentage of fans that follow spoilers. He’s even been at locations that were blocked off and extremely difficult to get actor sightings.

What may be going on is that the “death of Glenn” is just more or less hype for the series and this Sunday’s big 90-minute episode. Obviously, the producers of The Walking Dead know how things go when a character is killed off and changed things up on The Talking Dead to bring about the question whether or not Glenn is really dead.

It’s even possible the ruse may have started back in July at the SDCC, as Norman Reedus replied “Glenn” when asked what cast member they would like to bring back, which caused mixed reaction from the other cast members and Greg Nicotero (via Huff Post):

Spoiler Will Return In The Walking Dead & Our Guess How

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22637:]]

Spoilers follow for tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead…(you can watch what went down here).

With Alexandria under attack and the herd split, our heroes attempted to make their way to save the makeshift city; however, their choices were met with disastrous consequences.

While we expected many of the no-namers to bite the big one, tonight saw the death of a major character from The Walking Dead — one from the first season and episode (at least in voice).

That’s right, tonight saw the death of Glenn.

Glenn and Nicholas ended up trapped amongst the herd on top of a trash bin. Nicholas couldn’t take it any more and shot himself in the head, which saw his body hit Glenn causing both to fall into the zombie chomp fest. In typical Walking Dead-fashion, Glenn went out in a gorey-glory, with blood and entrails all over the place.

However, that’s not the end of Glenn.

On tonight’s epsidode of The Talking Dead, showrunner Scott Gimple revealed Glenn would be appearing again, but only teased in what form:

Dead fans of ‘The Walking Dead,’

This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we knew our friends at ‘Talking Dead’ would be talking to you about it. And knowing you would all be talking and feeling and commizorating, I knew we should say something about it lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say. So I’ll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback or in the current story to help complete the story.

Following the zombie Glenn picture below, you can check out our guess as to what that means:

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22636:]]

Maggie is pregnant with Glenn’s child.

Watch: Behind-The-Scenes Of The Walking Dead Comic Book

Scion, in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the popular comic book series The Walking Dead and Witch Doctor via a video interview with artist Lukas Ketner and creator Robert Kirkman.

“I typically start with the outlines of the largest shapes in the image,” explains Ketner as he illustrates, on camera, Glenn Rhee escaping from a herd of Walkers in a Scion iM. “That starts with the zombie hands in the foreground and moving on to the focal point in the foreground and then moving backwards to really give the environment some flavor and really just try to tie the whole thing together with nice areas with spotted blacks and some nice brushy little fun lines.”

To help welcome the Scion iM to the world, we had Lukas Ketner of Skybound Entertainment create an original image featuring the car during the zombie apocalypse. Ketner is the co-creator of Witch Doctor, the first Skybound Original, and has done the cover art for several issues of The Walking Dead. In this video you can see the behind the scenes process of bringing this vibrant image to life.

Fear The Walking Dead Coming To Blu-Ray

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22388:]]

Fear The Walking Dead recently ended its six issue first season, and now details and trailers for the Blu-Ray have been revealed, which will be released in December.

The series returns for Season 2 next year.

Info (via Dread Central):

Anchor Bay Entertainment is bringing fans of the latest ingenious and pulse-pounding AMC original series, “Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season” to Blu-ray and DVD on December 1st. Created by Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead”) and Dave Erickson (“Sons of Anarchy”), the series hailed as “effortlessly creepy” (People) premiered in August as the #1 show in cable history.

The 2-disc sets include character bios as well as “A Look at the Series.” Both fans of the show, as well as those who have yet to encounter the engrossing drama, will have the opportunity to own all six episodes.

Living in the same universe as “The Walking Dead,” “Fear the Walking Dead” is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and English teacher Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and the dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

Fans can also look forward to “Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season” Special Edition in 2016.

“Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season” cast also includes Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), Mercedes Mason (Quarantine 2), Ruben Blades (Safe House), Alycia Debnam-Carey (The Devil’s Hand), Elizabeth Rodriguez (“Orange Is the New Black”) and Lorenzo James Henrie (Star Trek).

“Fear The Walking Dead” Season 2 premieres on AMC with 15 new episodes in 2016
