With Star Wars: Episode VIII now filming, the working title for the movie has now been revealed via Carrie Fisher on Twitter.

Fisher posted an image of her dog with a director’s chair from the set where “Space Bear” is featured.

Movie studios use working titles in place of the film’s actual title to help disguise and mask that the movie is getting made.

Disney has yet to release the actual title.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was said to use “AVCO,” with Star Wars: Rogue One using “Lunak Heavy.”

Star Wars: Episode VIII has a December 16, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Carrie Fisher Responds To Slave Leia Complaints

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23121:]]

It’s been said that since Disney now owns the rights to Star Wars, they will not be producing any more merchandise of Slave Leia.

Recently also saw a father complain about a Star Wars Slave Leia toy — in that he didn’t know how to explain it to his daughters, which went viral.

Now word of the incident has reached Carrie Fisher who offers up her own explanations to the guy’s daughters.

Via WSJ:

There’s been some debate recently about whether there should be no more merchandise with you in the “Return of the Jedi” bikini.

I think that’s stupid.

To stop making the merchandise?

The father who flipped out about it, “What am I going to tell my kid about why she’s in that outfit?” Tell them that a giant slug captured me and forced me to wear that stupid outfit, and then I killed him because I didn’t like it. And then I took it off. Backstage.

And again via LA Times:

How about telling his daughter that the character is wearing that outfit not because she’s chosen to wear it. She’s been forced to wear it. She’s a prisoner of a giant testicle who has a lot of saliva going on and she does not want to wear that thing and it’s ultimately that chain, which you’re now indicating is some sort of accessory to S&M, that is used to kill the giant saliva testicle…. That’s asinine.

Disney Wiping Slave Leia From All Star Wars Merchandise

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22761:]]

More PC BS from Disney these days as it’s being reported the Carrie Fisher “Slave Leia” costume from Return of the Jedi is being wiped from all forthcoming merchandise.

But that’s not all as it’s even said Marvel Comics is not allowed to have their Star Wars comic book artists draw Princess Leia in a sexy pose.

The info comes from well known comic book artist J. Scott Campbell who replied on a Facebook page with:

“Daisy Ridley won’t have to fight against anything. Disney is already well on it’s way to wiping out the ‘slave’ outfit from any future products period. You will NOT see and future merchandising featuring the slave outfit ever again. Trust me.”

Campbell is further asked if Disney is going to digitally edit future versions of Return of the Jedi by putting clothes on Slave Leia, in which Campbell replies:

“I haven’t heard anything that drastic, I think the backlash would be too big. More of a ‘quietly sweep the rest under the carpet’ kinda thing.”

Campbell also appears to have added he heard the info from two sources (which Newsarama pointed out), and that they can’t draw a sexy normal Leia in the comic:

“I’ve heard it from two sources. We can’t even draw Leia in a sexy pose at Marvel, let alone in that outfit! We also had a 3-D [Slave Leia] statue killed at a major manufacturer because there will no longer be any [Slave Leia] merchandise.”

This news follows recent statements by Carrie Fisher in which she suggested to Daisy Ridley to stay away from being sex symbol:

Carrie Fisher advised Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Daisy Ridley to “fight for your outfit. Don’t be a slave like I was,” while discussing Fisher’s supposed status as a sex symbol.

Carrie Fisher’s Daugher Shoots Down Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rumor

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20519:]]

There is a rumor floating online that Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, will be playing a young Princess Leia in Star Wars: The Force Awakens – meaning a flashback scene would be featured in the movie (something I believe hasn’t happened in any of the Star Wars films).

Lourd recently addressed the rumor and stated it isn’t true, but did confirm she has a role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

“That’s a lie. That’s a rumor,” Billie Lourd told ETOnline. “I wish I played a young princess. I can’t talk to you about the character, or the lack of character. I didn’t even say that. That was too much.”

Billie Lourd also stars on FOX’s upcoming Scream Queens.
