With WB announcing a live-action DCEU Nighwing movie, let the fan casting begin.
Walking Dead‘s Steven Yeun, Steven R. McQueen and Zac Efron are three names put out there by fans as potential Nightwing candidates.
How about Supernatural‘s Jared Padalecki?
A fan took to Twitter to ask Jared Padalecki if he would consider playing Nightwing.
“I’ve always wanted to…” the actor replied.
The Nightwing movie is currently in development with LEGO Batman Movie‘s Chris McKay in talks to direct, with The Accountant scribe Bill Dubuque writing the script.
Chris McKay recently described his take on Nightwing with a “really interesting, intriguing, action-packed character movie” and “he’s this guy who has all these negatives and then even more negatives and yet he remains… Those are things why I like Dick Grayson, why I like the idea of Nightwing as a movie.”
Supernatural airs Thursdays on The CW at 8pm ET. Jared Padalecki’s co-star Jensen Ackles has also been a fan-favorite pick to play Batman on TV.
