Superman: Man Of Steel (2013): Smallville Crater Site Crash-Landing Images

The latest images to come out of the Plano, Illinois set for the new Superman reboot, the Man Of Steel, are said to be of the crater site where baby Kal-El’s spaceship crash-lands in Smallville.

A local resident sent these over to IGN, including a pic of a delivery truck for the Smallville Sentinel.

Is this crater site deep enough?

Actually, it almost looks like either a lift off/blast off site or a landing – more than if a spaceship crashed, which would most likely leave a burn bath. However, maybe the ship lands instead of crash lands? Or we just haven’t seen it in its entirety? Or, heck, maybe it’s Doomsday!
