Supergirl Trailer Released: Milly Alcock Takes Flight In New DCU Footage

The new Supergirl trailer has officially been released.

DC Studios and Warner Bros. dropped the new look at Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El with the tagline, “This Summer, find your place in the universe,” while confirming Supergirl lands in theaters and IMAX on June 26.

The footage puts the spotlight on Alcock’s Kara as the DCU heads deeper into cosmic territory following Superman. The trailer also leans into the movie’s bigger sci-fi setting and emotional angle, teasing a story centered on vengeance, justice, and Kara trying to figure out where she fits.

New Supergirl trailer puts Milly Alcock front and center

The trailer gives fans a fresh look at Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl and Kara Zor-El.

Supergirl appears to be going for a more space-driven and personal story compared to the usual Earth-based superhero setup. The new footage teases Kara being pushed into action after a ruthless enemy hits too close to home, setting up what DC describes as an interstellar journey.

The trailer also continues selling Alcock as the face of the movie, with the footage focused on her presence, attitude, and the larger cosmic world around her.

Supergirl story teases vengeance and justice

According to the official synopsis, Kara Zor-El is forced to join an unlikely companion after an unexpected and ruthless adversary changes everything.

From there, the movie follows Kara across space on what is being described as an epic journey of vengeance and justice.

The trailer suggests Supergirl will mix action, emotion, and sci-fi elements, while also building Kara into one of the central players of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU.
