Supergirl Test Screening Rumors All Over The Place At 1 Hour 45 Minute Runtime

Supergirl Test Screening Rumor Claims New Cut ‘Packs a Punch’ At 1 Hour 45 Minute Runtime

A new Supergirl rumor is making the rounds online in regards to how good the movie is and its runtime.

One person who claims to have seen a cut of the movie had high praise for what they watched.

The post says, “This is damn good, bordering on really damn good. That’s all I’ll say and I hope this cut or something close to it gets released. 1h 45m and packs a punch.”

That reaction has not been verified, so it should be taken as a rumor for now.

Supergirl could hit the ground running or fizzle out

If the claimed 1 hour and 45 minute runtime is accurate, that would put Supergirl on the shorter side for a modern comic book movie, matching Marvel’s The Marvels.

Of course, it is also possible the runtime changes before release. Test cuts and early versions of movies often get adjusted during post-production.

If accurate, that could mean the film hits the ground running, or it could fizzle out like The Marvels, the lowest-grossing MCU movie of all time.

Update: Cryptic HD Quality on X says there was a test screening; however, the account claims the opposite and says the reactions were bad.

“Now don’t come for me cuz i’m just the messenger. 3 others reached out to me and said the opposite,” posted the account on X. “Also, is this the 5th or 6th test screening so far?”

There could be cause for concern as WB also recently confirmed a third composer on the film, and the industry has described Supergirl as a red flag and a pricey risk.
