Fans strong with The Force noticed in the new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi that Kylo Ren’s scar didn’t exactly match up with the scar he had in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
An eagle-eyed fan on Twitter questioned Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson about it who offered up it was changed because it looked goofy.
@origonalname113 @mutlubulutlar @StarWarsNewsNet @TheLastKylo It was my decision to slightly adjust it, and that was my justification. It honestly looked goofy running straight up the bridge of his nose

Sure enough, the Kylo Ren scars are indeed different as you can check out an image from Star Wars: The Force Awakens where the scar goes over the nose compared to a screen grab from the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer where the scar is over the eye.
Maybe Snook used the Dark Side to adjust things?
Admittedly, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi scar does look a lot cooler.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” has a December 15, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac and Benicio Del Toro.
