Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy during the Star Trek Universe panel at New York Comic Con, confirming a January 15 premiere. The series will debut with two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Thursday through March 12.

The New Class of Cadets
Starfleet Academy follows a group of young cadets striving to become Starfleet officers under the guidance of demanding instructors. The story explores their friendships, rivalries, and first loves as they face a threat that endangers both the Academy and the Federation.
The main cast includes:
- Holly Hunter as the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy
- Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, and Bella Shepard as cadets
- Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo
- Guest stars Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, Gina Yashere, and Paul Giamatti

Creative Team and Production
The series is co-showrun by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, with Kurtzman directing the premiere episode. Executive producers include Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, and John Weber. Produced by CBS Studios, Starfleet Academy continues the expansion of Star Trek storytelling under Kurtzman’s direction.
